What is Torah Currents

Torah Currents, a project of the Orthodox Caucus (http://www.ocweb.org), is an online journal that provides an open forum for discussing topics of interest to the Orthodox community in the United States. Like the Orthodox Caucus, it allows both rabbis and lay people, men and women, those to the “right” and those to the “left”, Israelis and Americans, and those of varying institutional affiliations to share their thoughts about matters of concern to us all: personal, familial, communal, textual, halachic, philosophical, historical, and more.

We expressly invite personal reflections of any length on issues facing us as individuals, as families, as a community, or as a nation as well as more formal presentations in either a scholarly or a traditional devar Torah style. In all cases, thoughtful replies from readers will be posted following original postings.

Our editors, editorial board, and advisory board feature people with outlooks and professional/personal backgrounds and interests that are diverse, in keeping with the diversity of the outlooks and subjects we hope that submitting authors will choose to write about:
